  • All You Need to Know. Want to know more about balloons and ballooning? eBalloon.org provides information on how hot air balloons work and what a typical flight is like as well as ballooning history and famous flights. The site also offers an extensive photo gallery, a list of festivals worldwide and a ballooning directory.
  • Ballooning Weather. Balloons fly when the weather is suitable - winds less than 5 mph and no rain or fog. If you to know what the weather is going to be like in the next few days go to the BBC website, enter Brentwood as your home town and click on the 5 day forecast link.
  • The British Balloon and Airship Club is the national body responsible for ballooning in the UK. This site gives information on how to join the BBAC (open to all) and receive the bi-monthly magazine, Aerostat. It also explains the requirements to obtain a pilots licence to fly hot air balloons.
  • London Region Balloon Club. The BBAC is divided into regions so that balloonists living in a geographical area have a local club which provides a focal point to meet fellow balloonists. If you want to find out more or join your local region then follow this link to LRBC.
